Shuttle & Comb

Finishing & Provenance

We choose pure wool and natural fibers, then prepare vegetable dye baths from regional plants, free of synthetic chemicals. Each batch is unique.

The warp threads are meticulously tensioned onto traditional wooden looms, a critical step that sets the foundation for the geometric pattern.

Four days of precise shuttle and comb work are required for every single hand-tensioned warp and weft, building the intricate generational motifs.

Each textile is carefully finished, inspected, and documented with its complete provenance, connecting you to its artisan and origin.

The Hands Behind the Loom

Master Weavers, Living Heritage

Our artisans are the heart of Loom & Timber, inheritors of a rich textile tradition. Working at traditional wooden benches, they embody the generational knowledge passed down through their lineages, ensuring every pattern and tension is just so.

Wisdom from the Weavers

We don't speed up the shuttle; every geometric motif follows a rhythm passed down through generations.
